Dr. Faculty Member Nazan KARAHAN
She was born in 1975 in Giresun. In 1993, she graduated from the midwifery department of Giresun Health Vocational High School and in 1999 graduated from Marmara University, Zeynep Kamil School of Health. She completed her master's degree in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing of Marmara University Health Sciences Institute in 2004, and her PhD degree in 2010. Between the years 1993-1997 she worked in various villages and hospitals in Giresun province Health Directorate, midwife in Zeynep Kamil Women and Children Diseases Education and Research Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit between 1997-2001, and Marmara University Zeynep Kamil School of Health. She worked as research assistant in Department of Midwifery, Karabük University Faculty of Health Sciences, Head of Women Research and Application Center and Director of Institute of Health Sciences. Since 2018, she has been working as the department head of Midwifery Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Gülhane University. Nazan Karahan, who has been the President of Turkish Midwives Association since 2006, has organized many national and international congresses, symposiums, workshops and courses related to midwives. Nazan Karahan, World and European delegates Midwifery Council is meeting in Turkey. There are many book chapters, research articles and papers.
